Maleforce Mobile is a free, fully feature-loaded chat and mobile social network service for gay adults. Downloaded to and fully operational on Android the Maleforce Mobile application connects you with other users for interaction using map, photos, video and voice. It can be downloaded free of charge from the Android MArket and installed on any Andriod handset. It syncs via Wi-Fi or mobile network and uses GPS to pinpoint user location. It has been designed to take advantage of the advanced capabilities and rich user interface of Android mobiles.

Maleforce Mobile includes free profile listings with picture, audio and video profiles, location based browsing, comprehensive gay venue listings with check-in functionality, audio, video and text messaging features and push message notifications to make sure you never miss a message. It features great real time live voice services including chat, personal numbers, automated call forwarding and voicemail.

Maleforce Mobile is available for free download from the Android Market.

The Maleforce Mobile app will work on all Android handsets operating Android 1.5 or above.

No. The Maleforce Mobile application is free to download and use. However, in the absence of a Wi-Fi connection, the application uses your phone's mobile network connection to access and download content. Please contact your carrier to check if you will be charged for usage, especially if travelling.

Yes, the app will recognize your existing Maleforce.com log in and will display your Maleforce.com profile.

Yes. We are actively working to enhance and add to the feature set of the Maleforce Mobile Android application, and will update the software periodically.

To remove the Maleforce Mobile application from your phone simply go to the Application Manager, select the Maleforce Mobile application and choose 'uninstall'.

The Maleforce Mobile application does not require any registration to download and browse, however in order to interact with other users you will need to first register via the application or on the Maleforce website.

Select 'Me' from the main menu and tap the Add a Photo button. You will then be prompted to select a photo from your phone's photo album or proceed to taking a new photo to upload. Alternatively you can choose an image from the Maleforce Mobile gallery.

Currently you can upload one photo only to your profile.

Yes! Photo content must be extremely TAME. Nudity, underwear shots or any revealing or sexually suggestive photo will be rejected. We therefore recommend that you upload a head/torso shot only (this also helps other users get a good idea of what you look like!). The image must be of yourself. Please abide by the above and the following guidelines or you could risk being blocked from the service.

• No nudity
• No bare skin below the waistline or above the thighs can be shown.
• Topless shots are permitted, but revealing any underwear or any pubic hair is not.
• No speedos or brief swimwear
• No crotch-only (or backside) images
• No images that reveal outline of genitals
• No images of sexual or sexually suggestive acts
• No images that contain sexual or sexually suggestive paraphernalia
• No images of, or insinuating, violent acts
• No images of, or insinuating drug use
• No advertising

Photos may take up to 4hrs to be approved. If your photo is not appearing within 4hrs please contact us via feedback@maleforce.com

It is not possible to delete your photo, however you have the option of changing your photo with a new one or selecting an image from the Maleforce Mobile gallery.

To record and upload a video to your profile select 'Me' from the main menu and tap the Add a Video button. Depending on your phone model you will be given the option of recording a new video or selecting a video from your phone's video library. If your phone does not have video upload capability you will be prompted to visit the Maleforce.com website where you can log in with your Maleforce Mobile details and record a video using the online video recorder (you will need a webcam to record a video via the online recorder).

To record an audio message for your profile select 'Me' from the main menu and tap the Record Audio button. You will be prompted to call the Maleforce chat line where service prompts will guide you through recording your message. Please note that in order to record an audio message you will first need to activate your Direct Connect number. Please see Direct Connect Number FAQs for more details.

Yes. In order for an audio description to play on your Maleforce Mobile profile it must be completely tame. This means you cannot use explicit or sexually suggestive language. We recommend you treat it as a friendly greeting so other users can hear your voice and learn more about you.

In order to set your location you need to register with the service. During the registration process you will be prompted to enter your postcode or zip details.

No. If you would like to show up in search results outside of your set location you will need to update your location on your 'Me' page.

Your exact location is not revealed to other users. Search results indicate distance in meters you are away from the searcher only. Search results are accurate down to just a few meters.

As soon as you open the Maleforce Mobile application it begins searching for guys near to you! Numbered bubbles indicate the amount of guys logged in by location. Reverse pinch to zoom in until individual thumbnails appear. Alternatively choose Gallery from the main menu to see thumbnails of guys ordered from closest to you.

You can search for guys in an area that you are not currently in by updating your set location with a postcode from the area you in which you wish to search.

Hotlist is where you can store thumbnails of guys you like for easy reference.

To add a guy to your hotlist tap the 'add to hotlist' button on his profile.

Choose Places from the main site menu to locate and view details of gay pubs, bars and clubs wherever you go. Check in to any venue to see who's there and let others know you're in the club!

Choose Places from the main site menu and you'll see a map with numbered bubbles indicating gay pubs, bars and clubs by location. Reverse pinch to zoom in until individual venue thumbnails appear. Tap the thumbnail to see a profile on the venue and which members have checked in!

To check in to a venue simply locate the venue profile and tap the 'Check in' icon. Please note: Upon checking in to a venue your set location details are updated to that of the venue.

Upon clicking a venue listing you will see information about the venue and thumbnails of other guys who have checked in.

Yes! We welcome venue submissions. Simply choose Places from the main menu and select 'Add a place' from the page menu. Entering details takes seconds. Click submit and it's done! All submissions are moderated before appearing on the app.

Hotspots are the most popular venues with guys using the app.

To find the most popular pubs, bars and clubs choose Places from the main menu then select Hotspots from the page menu.

Chat is where your messages and voicemail are stored. Select 'Chat' from the main menu to access voicemail and see a history of the messages you have sent and received.

To send a chat message to another user simply tap the message button on their profile. Please note that in order to use this free feature you will need to be registered with the service.

Voicemail is a storage space for messages left on your Direct Connect number. For more details on Direct Connect numbers and how to get one for free please see Direct Connect Number FAQs.

To leave a voicemail message you will first need to locate the profile of the user you wish to contact. In order to leave a voicemail you will need to call their Direct Connect number. For more details on Direct Connect numbers and how to get one for free please see Direct Connect Number FAQs.

A 'Shout' message is a short message that appears on your profile and can be seen by other Maleforce Mobile users. It's a quick and fun way to let everyone know what you've been up to, what you are feeling, what you are planning, in fact anything you want to shout about! But please keep it clean! Shout Messages containing expletives (or alternate contact details) are not permitted.

We suggest you keep it short, to the point and clean! Messages that contain expletives or personal contact details will be deleted. Check out the latest Shouts section for inspiration - you'll get the idea!

Updating your Shout message is quick and easy. Simply enter your update in to the' Add a Shout' field and submit.

Yes. Your Shout must not contain any expletives or sexually suggestive language. Shouts cannot contain alternative contact details.

If your Shout message contained inappropriate content like an expletive, or alternative contact details it will have been deleted. We suggest you keep it short, to the point and clean!

A Direct Connect Number is an 'anonymous' telephone number (similar to a mobile number) that forwards calls to your real mobile or landline phone. Guys who call it will never know your real landline or mobile number. Your Direct Connect Voicebox accompanies the Direct Connect Number and can be activated to take messages when you'd prefer not to take calls. Think of it as your free exclusive dating number.

No, a Direct Connect number is for receiving calls only - for people to call you to talk or leave voicemail.

Upon registering with Maleforce Mobile you are automatically allocated a Direct Connect number for free.

In order to activate your Direct Connect number first navigate to your profile via 'Me' from the main menu. Simply tap the Direct Connect number tab and follow the instructions. You will need to register your phone number and receive an auto call back in order to verify your number.

This is a security measure that prevents anyone else from registering your number.

Calls to a Direct Connect Number are charged at a per-minute rate which varies depending upon the caller's network provider. For example when a caller contacts you from a BT landline, the caller is charged 50 pence a minute.

Once you have activated your Direct Connect number it appears on your Maleforce Mobile profile. When you post a Shout message your Direct Connect number will appear alongside it and when you record an audio greeting details of your Direct Connect Number will be heard by guys browsing the Maleforce chatline too. Alternatively, you can give your Direct Connect number out on other websites, in chatrooms, or when you're out and about!

Yes, if you sign into the app with your existing Maleforce website log in details the app will automatically display your existing Direct Connect number. If the phone you are using is the current forwarding number for your chatline initiated Direct Connect number the app will recognize this too.

To change your forwarding number log in to Maleforce.com with your App log in and update the details located in the My Direct Connect No. box.

At the point of deleting your profile the Direct Connect Number you were issued with is also deleted. You can however get a new Direct Connect Number at any time by making a new registration via the Maleforce website or app or by dialing the Maleforce chatline and selecting option 2 from the main menu.

Yes. You can set up a Direct Connect number and voicebox on the Maleforce chatline by selecting option 2 from the main menu.

No - Maleforce Direct Connect numbers are private for you and for callers as no personal numbers are displayed. If you call a Direct Connect number from your registered phone number your Direct Connect number will display on their phone.

If the caller has a Direct Connect number themselves then their Direct Connect Number will show as the caller ID. If the caller is calling you and they are calling you from a phone not registered with the service YOUR Direct Connect number will display. Either way, Direct Connect numbers begin with a prefix 0701 - this identifies that a call is coming through via the Direct Connect service.

Yes, just call your Direct Connect Number and select the prompt which says "Block Last Caller".

Maleforce 'Live Gay Chat' is a gay chat line where you can connect to gay men from all walks of life who like to chat and meet on the phone.

Yes, all callers you hear on Maleforce are live on the phone at the same time as you.

Your telephone number can not be seen or obtained by other callers to the service.

Once connected voice prompts will guide you through the service from recording your voice description to browsing other caller descriptions and connecting live 1-2-1 with another caller.

You only get a few seconds to record your first greeting, so you should simply introduce yourself in a few words, like 'Hi, I'm Matt from London'. Then you'll be prompted to record a longer description which should include a bit more about yourself and what you're into. For example, 'I'm tall, blond, with blue eyes and I'd like to chat with people into clubbing.' Once you've recorded your own descriptions you'll be ready to browse others and respond as you like.

The first and second description greeting messages are saved automatically to save you time the next time you call. You do have the option to erase all greeting messages if you so desire.

Access costs vary dependent on your network operator. You can also purchase credits on Maleforce.com which allow the cheapest pay-per-minute rates from as low as 4p per min. Vodaphone, Orange, Three and O2 customers can connect via shortcode 60321 at 25p per minute (total cost). All other networks are connected via an 0871 prefix number at cost of 10p per minute plus standard network charges (Please check with your network provider for total call cost).

Maleforce Daypass provides you with 24hrs of access to the Maleforce chatline via a standard rate number. For regular users, this is by far the cheapest way to access Maleforce live chat
