- Credit Card
- + Which credit cards do you accept? We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and Visa Debit only.
- + How is my top-up transaction referenced on my credit card bill? The top-up transaction will show on your statement as coming from www.Ampay.co.uk - our payment processor.
- + Can I get a refund? Our policy is not to provide refunds unless we consider in our sole discretion that extraordinary circumstances apply. In the event that we issue a refund then this shall be made by crediting the credit or debit card that was used by you to make the purchase. No refunds shall be made by cash or cheque.
- + The amount that I see on my bill is not the same as the order I placed?Credit card transactions made with Ampay are made in GBP or USD depending on your location. If your credit card account is in another currency then you will most likely see a different amount on your statement. The exchange rate used is controlled by your credit card provider and not us.
- + My order was cancelled, but it appears I have been charged on my credit card?During the purchase process an authorization request is sent to your credit card issuer to check that sufficient funds are available. This sometimes shows up as a booking or reservation on your credit card statement. It is not an actual charge.
If the purchase subsequently fails, we cancel your transaction and remove this reservation. Some credit card issuers may not immediately show the transaction as removed, even if it has been. We assure you that if the transaction is declined funds are not withdrawn from your credit card.
This process depends on the nature of your bank's integration with credit card companies. Sometimes it can take up to 72 hours to clear these transactions from your statement, but usually the time period is much shorter. - + My order was cancelled, why?Ampay needs to prevent fraudsters from using our service. Our security measures are very strict and unfortunately this means that a few genuine users will experience a problem getting through the transaction process. Your card may work fine on other sites, but you may experience difficulty on our site.
If your payment is refused, and you are sure you have entered your details correctly, please try again with a card issued by a different bank or credit card company.
We are constantly working to improve this situation, and our systems are updated regularly, with the aim of accepting payments from users anywhere in the world. - + I'm having trouble making a payment. I get the error 'accessed denied'?Our website is optimized to work with the latest browser versions. If you are having trouble navigating the payment pages you may need to download the latest version of your web browser.
To download the latest version of Internet explorer click here http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx
To download latest version of Firefox click here http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/
- + My order was refused, why is that? This means that the payment was rejected by our payment provider. This may have occurred for a number of reasons, for example, not having sufficient funds on your card or bank account to complete the transaction or using an anonymous proxy to access the internet. If your credit card was issued in a country where we have a history of fraudulent transactions the order may also be refused. We suggest contacting your bank to check the status of your credit card.
- + Why did my payment fail when using an anonymous proxy? We do not allow purchases made via an anonymous ‘proxy’ or ‘proxy-server’ this is to help prevent fraud taking place.
Possibly, your internet service provider (ISP) is using a ‘proxy’ server for your connection and this is why you could not get through.
It might also be possible that you have a proxy set up inside your internet browser.
In Internet Explorer select:
Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN settings and then unmark the proxy server.
In Mozilla Firefox select:
Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Settings > Select “Direct Connection to Internet”
If this doesn’t help, then please contact your internet provider or local system administrator for further assistance.
Another option would be to use another computer with a different internet service to make the purchase. - + How do I know that an account-related enquiry email is really from Ampay? There may be times when you have submitted an enquiry and in reply you will be asked to provide certain account or billing information, this is normal.
Ampay will NEVER send an ‘out of the blue’ request for your password or personal account information via email.
We recommend that you are very cautious when responding to any email request for sensitive personal information. If you ever receive an email as such we recommend forwarding this email to us via the contact us link for verification.

Guys can call your Direct Connect Number from anywhere in the world and will never know your real landline or mobile number. Your Direct Connect Voicebox accompanies the Direct Connect Number and can be activated to take messages when you'd prefer not to take calls. Upon registering with Maleforce.com you will be issued with your very own Direct Connect Number absolutely free!
- + Can I make calls with my Direct Connect number?Maleforce Direct Connect Numbers are designed for taking incoming calls only - that is, for people to call you to talk and/or leave messages.
- + How do I get a Direct Connect Number?Upon registering with the Maleforce website you are issued with your own personal Direct Connect Number absolutely free. Alternatively, you can register for a Direct Connect Number via the Maleforce chat line.
- + How much does it cost to call a Direct Connect Number?Calls to a Direct Connect Number are charged at a per-minute rate which varies depending upon the caller's network provider. For example when a caller contacts you from a BT landline, the call is 50 pence a minute.

Please note, you may be prompted to 'pay' with 'Wallet Points' if the owner of a Direct Connect Number is having calls forwarded to their mobile or an overseas number. In these instances you will be notified at the beginning of the call.

Your 'Shout', accompanied by your Direct Number, scrolls along the top of the site. By recording a Direct Connect Voicebox greeting on the Maleforce chatline details of your Direct Connect Number will be heard by guys calling the chatline too. Alternatively, you can give your Direct Connect Number out on other websites, in chatrooms, or when you're out and about!
- + How do I record or re-record my Direct Connect Number greeting? If you want to record a personalised greeting for callers, then simply call your own Direct Connect Number from your registered phone. The very first time you call your Direct Connect Number, to check your messages for example, you will be prompted to record a personalised greeting. You can choose to ignore this request if you wish.
If you have already recorded a personalised greeting and wish to change it, dial your Direct Connect Number, select option 4 and follow the voice prompts. - + I already have a Direct Connect Number I set up on the Maleforce chat line, can I keep this number if I register with the site?Yes, if you set up your site registration with the same number you originally set up your existing Direct Connect Number with. The site will recognise this number and automatically list your existing Direct Connect Number.

Either way, Direct Connect Numbers begin with the prefix 0701 - this identifies that a call is coming through via the Direct Connect service.
Please note: If your phone is turned off, there is a possibility that your personal voicemail will pick up the call (rather than the Maleforce Direct Connect voicemail). As such, it's a good idea to not put any personal information or your phone number on your personal voicemail. Alternatively, if you turn your phone off, you can forward all of your calls to your Direct Connect Number voicemail. - + Can I change my forwarding number, and how do I do that? You can change the number that your Direct Connect calls and messages are forwarded to at any time. - + I’d like to change my forwarding number, but I’m not near the handset that requires verification, is that a problem? We need to verify your phone number each time you change it in order to ensure that you are the owner of that phone. This requires you being there to accept the verfication call.

- Chat & Date Safety
- + Chat & Date Safety AdviceMaleforce provides a safe environment for people to chat and make friends. However you decide to conduct your phone chat activities we want to make sure that you feel safe and enjoy the experience to the full.
Maleforce users can take the chatting experience even further with our Direct Connect Numbers. A Direct Connect Number is an 'anonymous' telephone number (similar to a mobile number) that forwards calls to a real mobile or landline phone. Maleforce users or even friends can call each other on their Direct Connect Number from anywhere in the world without revealing their real landline or mobile number. For more information on Direct Connect Numbers see Direct Connect Number FAQs
With all this chatting and making friends it is possible that you may want to take a phone chat “relationship” further. If this is how you feel you should follow some basic safe dating rules to ensure that you keep your on line dating/chatting experience happy and safe. Some of the tips may seem very obvious but do still try to follow as many of them as possible:
The most important thing you must remember is to always keep your personal details safe.
• Do not reveal your full name, telephone number, real email address, URL, work or home address in your shout message OR to a complete stranger over the phone.
• Take your time to know your new “friends”. Use your common sense and do not make snap decisions. There is no need for you to rush in to anything!
• Don't take everything at face value – as everywhere there are always people out there who lie and misrepresent themselves.
• Ask as many questions as possible to help you get to know your “friends” better. Sometimes people may seem too good to be true and they probably are – do not let them get away with being vague or refuse to answer basic questions.
• Do not get involved in conversations that make you uncomfortable. Make sure that you feel comfortable and safe at all times whoever you are chatting to.
• If someone is abusive to you on the chatline or your Direct Connect Number block them straight away and report them to us via the site ‘contact us’ link.
• If someone is pushing to meet don’t be in a rush to get out the door! Try calling the person first for a while and see how this goes. This will give you time to judge if the user is genuine or hiding something – calls in the middle of the night for example instead of during the day are a good example of someone that may not be all “sugar and spice”.
Use a Direct Connect Number instead of your real phone number. The good thing about Direct Connect Numbers is that they are extremely safe because the people who call you will never know your real phone number. You can also choose to divert all incoming calls to voicemail instead and pick up your messages anytime you want. This will help you sort the “good” from the “bad” users and will give you time to decide who you want to talk to. If someone leaves their real phone number in a message and urges you to call them do not do it, however if you do decide to do it you should make sure you block your ID so that your personal phone number does not display when you make the call. Alternatively you can call from a payphone or get the user to register his own Direct Connect Number where you can call him or leave messages.
A Direct Connect Number is the safest way to chat so if someone wants to call you they can always call you on your Direct Connect number and so can you. Still be careful and look for signs that suggest that not all is good with this user such as: always hangs up unexpectedly, does not accept calls during the day, gets annoyed when you call even if the call was pre-arranged, always asks you to call at a specific time etc. These are all bad signs and you may be wasting your time.
Dating and meeting up
If you have decided that it is time to meet your phone “friend” make sure you follow these safety tips:
• If you feel you have been pushed into meeting someone do not do it! You don’t owe a date to anybody no matter what they may say. Use your common sense and say No if that’s how you feel.
• Always meet in a public place or go with a friend. If the person is genuine he will not mind and will probably want to do the same.
• Use your Direct Connect Number to chat to the person first before you arrange to meet. This will help you get to know each other better.
• Always tell your friends where you are going and who you are going with.
• Always carry a mobile phone with you and try to call your friends as many times as possible to let them know you are ok.
• Do not meet in a place that is not familiar to you, you would feel uncomfortable there or it is inconvenient/hard to get to. Your safety is your priority – make sure you can easily get to and out of the place your meeting is at.
• Best time for a date is lunch time or during the day for coffee – keep it short and sweet and if it does not turn out to be as good as you expected at least you can easily excuse yourself and leave.
• Try to put a time-limit on your date. Arrange with friends to pick you up or meet up close to the meeting place.
• Do not accept an offer for a lift from your date. It is safer to go home on your own or meet up with friends.
• Always have someone ready to come and get you if things turn for the worse and do not be afraid to attract the attention of people around you if this happens.
